DOES MY PET REQUIRE A DESIGNATED AREA FOR OUR APPOINTMENT?
Not at all! At Zen Pet Health, we prioritize your pet's comfort. Our appointments can take place wherever your furry friend feels most relaxed, whether it's on their favorite bed or in another cozy spot they adore.
WHAT SHOULD I ANTICIPATE DURING OUR INITIAL APPOINTMENT WITH ZEN PET HEALTH?
At Zen Pet Health, your pet's well-being is our top priority. During your first appointment, Dr. Van Zant will begin by addressing any questions or concerns you may have. She'll take the time to acquaint herself with your pet, allowing them to feel comfortable at their own pace. Following the discussion, Dr. Van Zant will conduct a thorough physical examination to assess your pet's condition and determine the most suitable treatment plan. Treatment will commence on the same day. Please allocate approximately 2 hours for this appointment. Additionally, new clients are required to provide a deposit of $250.00 to secure their appointment slot.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING OUR FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT?
At Zen Pet Health, follow-up appointments are designed to maintain your pet's well-being effectively. During these sessions, Dr. Van Zant will provide continued care, addressing any ongoing concerns discussed in previous appointments. While the follow-up appointment mirrors the initial one in structure, it is typically less extensive. Dr. Van Zant will administer treatments as discussed previously, ensuring your pet receives the necessary care to thrive. Unlike the initial appointment, no deposit is required for follow-up appointments.
DOES ACUPUNCTURE HURT?
Not at all! Dr. Van Zant prioritizes your pet's comfort and well-being during acupuncture sessions. Our fine-gauge acupuncture needles are designed to minimize discomfort, ensuring a gentle experience for your furry companion. Any response observed, such as movement of the skin, indicates the movement of Qi/energy, a positive sign of the treatment's effectiveness.
SOMETIMES THERE IS A SMALL AMOUNT OF BLOOD ONCE THE NEEDLES ARE REMOVED, SHOULD I BE CONCERNED?
Rest assured, the presence of a small amount of blood after needle removal is typically nothing to worry about. In fact, it indicates that Dr. Van Zant is effectively releasing heat and pain from the specific acupuncture channel, promoting your pet's overall well-being and comfort.
I HAVE A NEW PROBLEM THAT WE DIDN’T DISCUSS AT OUR FIRST APPOINTMENT, CAN I HAVE THAT ADDRESSED AT OUR FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT?
We prioritize comprehensive care for all our patients. If you have a new problem or question that arises after your initial appointment, we encourage you to schedule a telehealth appointment with Dr. Van Zant. This ensures that she can dedicate ample time to address your concerns effectively. As Dr. Van Zant's availability may be limited, scheduling a separate appointment allows us to provide the highest level of care to all our patients.
I HAVE ANOTHER PET IN THE HOUSE, CAN DR. VAN ZANT SEE THEM DURING MY OTHER PETS’ APPOINTMENTS?
At Zen Pet Health, we strive to provide individualized care to each of our patients. While Dr. Van Zant values the well-being of all your pets, she does not typically have availability for multi-pet appointments unless scheduled in advance. This ensures that each pet receives the focused attention and comprehensive care they deserve during their appointment.
HOW CAN I RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENTS?
At Zen Pet Health, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that require you to reschedule your appointment. To do so, you can contact us directly by phone or email. Simply leave a message with our team or email us at admin@zenpethealth.com. We kindly ask that you notify us of any changes to your appointment no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled time. Please note that a $100 cancellation fee will be charged to the payment method on file for cancellations made after this time frame. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
